Plaid Carmarthenshire to Steer “New” Tyisha in a New Direction

The leading Plaid Cymru group on Carmarthenshire County Council have announced a complete regeneration scheme for one of Wales’s poorest areas.

Tyisha Ward in Llanelli has long seen social troubles due to long standing neglect by previous administrations; however Plaid’s Cllr Cefin Campbell & Cllr Linda Evans have established & chaired a multi agency steering group to change the fortunes of Llanelli ward.

The group aim to collaborate with Police Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn; including dispersing known drug takers and dealers- and providing them with the support they need.

Recently in the headlines for fly tipping, the group aim to educate the Ward - and improve visual amenities, like green spaces & a social hub, creating a further sense of pride.

Quality new housing will be developed, and a drastic reduction in house’s of multiple occupancy (HMOs) along with supporting young families to help get them out of poverty entrapment, through no fault of their own!

And lastly, the Wellness centre; potentially the jewel in the crown of West Wales; creating a beautiful boulevard effect from the heart of the historic town.
